New NSRF projects

The coming period is expected the formal prepublication of 3 new entrepreneurship projects. The 3 new NSRF projects for the programming period 2014-2020 are the following:

 

 

1. Support of Tourism Businesses for modernizing and improving the quality of service

Target

Modernization, quality upgrade and enrichment of products and services of existing very small and small businesses, in the strategic area of tourism in order to improve their position in domestic and international tourism market.

Implementing organization

Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Marine and Tourism

Beneficiaries

Existing very small and small businesses operating exclusively in the strategic sector of tourism.

Subsidized budget

From 30.000€ to 300.000 €

Aid rate: 50% of the total investment budget.

Actions

  • Modernization and upgrading of the quality of building and other infrastructure
  • Energy / Water Saving Interventions
  • Interventions of enrichment of the offered product with new services (extension to alternative sectors of tourism, interventions for people with disabilities, etc.)
  • Infrastructure and services Certifications
  • Promotion of businesses in new target markets
  • Consulting Fees
  • Salary costs of existing or new staff

Budget of the project

50 mil. € (2 cycles of 25 cm. € each)

cofinanced by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

Estimated number of beneficiaries

From 600 to 700 Very smalla and small tourism businesses (according to budgets of the approved Investment Plans)

 

2. Enhancing Self Employment of Graduates of Higher Education

 

Target

  • Strengthening higher education graduates, over 25 years old, who are nemployed or self-employed for working on an activity related to their specialty.
  • Boost of employment by creating new jobs

Implementing organization

Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Marine and Tourism

Beneficiaries

Potential beneficiaries of the project are graduates of higher education, over 25 years old at the time of application, who are:

• unemployed and registered in OAED or

• natural persons in gainful employment, without employment relationship tenant, which will operate or operate a business as a sole proprietor to an activity related to their specialty.

Subsidized budget

From 5,000 to 25.000 € (100% aid rate)

Actions

The occupational activities that will be financed by the Project are indicatively the following:

 Doctor, dentist, veterinarian, physiotherapist, biologist, psychologist, midwife, lawyer, architect, engineer, surveyor, chemist, agronomist, geologist, forester, oceanographer, designer, journalist, author, interpreter, guide, translator, teacher, artist, sculptor or painter or cartoonist or engraver, actor, musician, dancer, choreographer, film director, film designer, costume designer, decorator, economist, analyst,web developer, researcher and business consultant, accountant or tax consultants, actuaries, sociologist and social worker etc.

In particular, the subsidized actions will refer to:

  • professional equipment
  • operating costs (rental workplace, social security contributions, costs of services of general interest)
  • promotion and networking costs
  • salary costs (in case of a staff recruitment)
  • third party fees, general equipment

Budget of the project

50 mil. € (2 cycles of 25 cm. € each) (first cycle in 2015 and 2nd cycle 2016)

cofinanced by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the flexibility clause from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

3. Startups entrepreneurship

 

Target

Developing viable startups entrepreneurship that is directly linked to the creation of new jobs. For this reason, the project aims to:

  • The creation of very small and small, new, sustainable businesses focusing on innovative projects and
  • The promotion of employment by hiring at least one person

Implementing organization

Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Marine and Tourism

Beneficiaries

Potential beneficiaries of the project are graduates of higher education, over 25 years old at the time of application, who are:

• unemployed and registered in OAED or

• natural persons in gainful employment, without employment relationship

Income criteria will be placed in the project’s Implementation Guide.

Subsidized budget

Up to 50.000 € (100% aid rate)

Actions

The subsidized activities will concern the following Priority Areas: agri-food, energy, Cultural and Creative Industries, Logistics, Environment, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Health - Medicines, Materials - Construction. In particular, the subsidized actions will refer to:

  • productive equipment
  • operating costs (rental workplace, social security contributions, costs of services of general interest)
  • promotion and networking costs
  • salary costs (in case of a staff recruitment)
  • third party fees, general equipment

Budget of the project

120 mil. €, in two (2) rounds of 60 million. € (first cycle in 2015 and 2nd cycle 2016)

cofinanced by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the flexibility clause from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

Estimated number of beneficiaries

  • 2500 new businesses
  • 4500 new jobs

 

 

The Timetable for the implementation of the projects is:

•             Pre-release: September 2015

•             Selection procedure of intermediate body: October 2015

•             Submission of proposals (First cycle): December 2015 - March 2016

•             Results and start of implementation: June 2016

•             Investment Completion: 24 months after entry

Entrepreneurship School of the organization Think Young

 

 

 

After Brussels, Hong Kong and Madrid the Entrepreneurship School is going to perform for first time in Greece, particularly in Athens from November 30 to December 4. The business school is the first school without teachers and lectures. It aims to bridge the gap between business education and innovative learning. Young people who are active or want to be active in the field of entrepreneurship will have the opportunity to come into engagement with successful entrepreneurs and experts. The opportunities provided to participants among others are:

• To broaden their business skills
• To expand their network
• To meet standards that inspire them
• To change their way of thinking about the future

The business school is organized by the nonprofit organization Think Young, which activates since 2007 with offices in Brussels, Geneva and Hong Kong. The aim of Think Young is to create a better business environment for young people.

European project Intgen

The INTGEN, is a 3-year European Project, which is implemented under the ERASMUS + program: Key Action KA2. The project is implemented by nine (9) partners, whose countries of origin are the United Kingdom, Spain, Finland, Greece and Belgium. Implementation of the project began in September 2014 and its actions will be completed in September 2017.

 

Priority of INTGEN is the transfer of knowledge and communication skills among entrepreneurs of older generations to younger potential entrepreneurs. Mixing all generations, is estimated to highlight good practices and useful techniques related to business activities.

 

Beneficiaries of the project will be mainly young people who are interested to do business immediately or in the future. Existing entrepreneurs will have the role of mentors, spreading the entrepreneurial spirit and business culture to new generations. The development of educational tools and electronic platform will stimulate mentoring and training process to be held.

 

By strengthening entrepreneurial ideals among all generations, the results obtained from implementing the project are expected to be useful and important for interested parties.
